Altea city is among the most wonderful and an attractive places in Spain as it is located along the Levantine coast. The town is located at foot of the hill and has streets which are sloping and head gently towards sea. Altea has number of beautiful and unique towers which are the symbolic landmarks of this town.

Altea has a great ambiance with its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and its popularity among tourists is the weather of Altea which remains pleasant and spring-like throughout the year. Altea is also a famous gathering place for artists, poets, painters and writers. Many of the famous names in the history of literature have made this town their residence.

El Formet is the best and most beautiful Old Town in Altea. It has a number of houses painted white and with flower decorations. The roads in the old town have cobble stones and are narrow. The old town has many art galleries along with some towers. Restaurants and bars in the old town are perfect to sit and enjoy the local atmosphere of Mediterranean.

The fishing port and marina in Altea are also worth visiting as they are also great tourist spots. The marina has number of cafes, shops and restaurants with terraces. The coastal line in Altea is almost six kilometers long and it has number of bays as well.

La Roda in Altea is the nudist beach which is situated inside the town.

La Olla is another nice sandy beach in Altea, with many restaurants and bars to entertain the visitors located in front of the La Olla Island. La Olla means Cooking Pot and this name is given as in winters the water starts steaming in a particular place.

Cape Negret is another good beach in the town and this name has been given since ancient times on account of the presence of black volcanic stones which surround this beach.

El Mascarat is another stone and sand beach in location villa piscine Altea which is located along the Marina.

Cap Blanch is the widest and biggest beach in Altea and it has many white stones and the water here is deep and blue.

Playa Del Albir is also located near this beach but this is under the authority of the municipality of the neighboring town.
